Don’t have a Spark Board? Introducing the Cisco Spark Room Kit Series

If you have not been able to get on the Cisco Spark Board Train, do not worry - Cisco has covered you.

Cisco Systems, Inc. announced this week two new options to experience the Cisco Spark meeting with the Cisco ROOM Spark Kit series. This will give customers the ability to change a standard HD screen on a device similar to what you would see in the Spark Board announced earlier this year less interactive whiteboard collaboration.

The Spark Kit series has two products: the Cisco Spark Room and Kit Kit Plus Room. Basic room kit is designed for small and medium rooms up to seven meetings. The Kit Plus room is designed for medium-sized rooms and large meetings for up to 14 people.

Kits room, which can remind you webcams are integrated and managed in the cloud, allowing a configuration in minutes according to Cisco. In addition, they connect native Spark and local solutions.

Both versions of the kit room are equipped with a built-in camera, speakers and microphones, while the Kit Plus room also features a separate four-bedroom bar with four additional cameras.

Here is the complete list of features:

  •     5K Ultra HD offers capabilities, including automatic tracking of framed speakers
  •     Two screens, two content sources, sharing content wirelessly and 4K for presentations
  •     Cisco Spark was able to count and track the number of people in the conference room during and between calls
  •     Cisco builds for Spark deployments and installations

Cisco Spark Room Kit will be available in the US this month (and in Canada shortly thereafter) for $ 3,990 USD. The Kit Plus room will be available in May for $ 7,990 USD. Both have a subscription of $ 99 USD per month attached. In addition, a complementary mode that combines Cisco Spark and Spark Board Kit room will be released later this year.

What makes the price is interesting is that the spark of the kit piece is not much cheaper than the Spark card, which is priced at $ 4,990 USD for the 55-inch version. While the spark room of the basic kit is designed for parts that might be too small for a spark plate, more room kit can be denied by the less expensive option ignition plate.

In addition, Cisco announced updates to the Cisco Spark meeting allowing anyone on a Spark meeting room access device at any time. This has also been extended to Cisco Spark Hybrid Media, which allows customers to try meetings without having to invest in new infrastructure, terminals and conferencing solutions.
